They put the hurt on Evansville Mater Dei with a sharp 73-52 victory. That 73-52 margin sets a new team best for Evansville North this season.
Evansville North's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keamare Barnes led the charge by scoring 20 points. That's the first time this season that Barnes scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Bryson Chapman, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Despite the loss, Evansville Mater Dei still got an impressive performance from Zane Norman, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 2 assists. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Tate Mallory, who scored eight points.
The win makes it two in a row for Evansville North and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Evansville North's road trip will continue as they head out to face University at 1:00 p.m. on December 28th.
