The Sanger Indians will take on the Dallas Christian Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Sanger made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bonham, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Sanger put the hurt on Bonham with a sharp 12-2 victory on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won three games in a row.
Leala Kloewer spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tarryn Liechty was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalilah Millan, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Meanwhile, Dallas Christian got the win against Lake Country Christian last Thursday by a conclusive 14-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.
Chloe Rodriguez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Rodriguez was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zailey Freeman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Briar Boothe was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Dallas Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Dallas Christian's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1-1. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 9.13 hits in those games compared to only 5.5 in the others. As for Sanger, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-4.
