Windsor is a perfect 4-0 against Loveland since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wizards will head out to square off against the Red Wolves at 4:00 p.m. Windsor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Windsor had just enough and edged out Fort Collins 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wizards.
Windsor got a great performance from Wyatt Gustafson as he tossed six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Gustafson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. Marcus Hull relieved him and did a solid job, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Easton Gattis, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Nico Vela, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
Meanwhile, Loveland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bear Creek.
Loveland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Stilo, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Windsor's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Loveland, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
Windsor's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Wizards have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Loveland, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Windsor continue to outrun the ball?
Windsor got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Loveland by a conclusive 15-0 score. Do the Wizards have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
