Will Carleton Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Recob, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Kherington Ladd was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Leading Battle Creek Academy to victory were Olivia Keller and Sofia Keller. Keller dropped a double-double on 11 points and 30 rebounds, while Keller almost dropped a triple-double on 24 points, 14 rebounds, and nine blocks. The contest was Keller's third in a row with at least ten points.
Will Carleton Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Battle Creek Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Will Carleton Academy will challenge Calhoun Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Battle Creek Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Pansophia Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
