Baseball Recap: Clint's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Clint had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 13-9 win over the Gadsden Panthers on Friday. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 5-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Clint let Daniel Ochoa and Mario Pacheco run wild. Ochoa went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Pacheco went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Clint is 4-1-1 when Pacheco posts two or more runs, but 3-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Chavez, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Clint always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gadsden only posted an OBP of .316.

Clint's victory bumped their record up to 7-9-1. As for Gadsden, they now have a losing record of 4-5-1.

Coming up, Clint will host Cathedral at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gadsden, they will take on Silver at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Silver has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.75 runs per game on average), something Gadsden will no doubt try to take advantage of.
