Despite their loss, Knightdale saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Khaim Taylor, who scored ten points along with two steals, was perhaps the best of all. Ibukun Adewumi was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wake Forest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by Millbrook 80-50. Wake Forest was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-25.
Knightdale's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Wake Forest, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything went Knightdale's way against the Cougars when the teams last played back in January as the Knights made off with a 61-38 victory. Will Knightdale repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
