Baseball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Ayden - Grifton's Winning Streak

After flying high against North Pitt last Thursday, Ayden - Grifton came back down to earth. The Chargers came up short against the Corinth Holders Pirates on Saturday, falling 11-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Chargers, who until this matchup were averaging 3.53 runs allowed.

Ayden - Grifton moved to 11-4 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Corinth Holders, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Chargers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
