Mt. Hope had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Cranston East Thunderbolts 32-6 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won four contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Robert Annis produced another solid effort rushing for 110 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 carries. Tyler Rhynard was another key player, rushing for 80 yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mt. Hope was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 305 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 202 rushing yards in four consecutive games.
