The Laurel Hill Hoboes lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Thursday was a bit more commanding. They were beaten by Rocky Bayou Christian 72-44. Laurel Hill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Devin Hicks continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rocky Bayou Christian, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 14 assists. Hicks is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Noah Lynch, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Laurel Hill are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-10.
Laurel Hill will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Pensacola Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, they will be playing at home against the Bucks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bozeman is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
