It was a good run, but the Fayetteville Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Round Top-Carmine. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Fayetteville of the 47-37 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Fayetteville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cambree Denham, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayme Schley, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds.
Fayetteville's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-17. As for Round Top-Carmine, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.
Fayetteville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Round Top-Carmine also has no future games currently scheduled.
