The Cascade Cadets are taking a road trip to square off against the Owen Valley Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cascade will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Cascade lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Indian Creek, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Cadets put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 10-1 win on Tuesday. The Cadets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by eight runs or more this season.
Noah Dasgupta made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. Dasgupta was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Cascade let Toby Savini and TJ Turner run wild. Savini got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Turner went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Savini has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Marcus Hobson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Cascade always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indian Creek only posted an OBP of .323.
Meanwhile, Owen Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against North Putnam on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 5-3. The game marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Cascade's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Owen Valley, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2.
Everything went Cascade's way against Owen Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2019, as Cascade made off with a 10-4 victory. Will the Cadets repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
