After both having extra time off, the Harvester Christian Academy Hawks and the Heritage Preparatory Rams will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Harvester Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 last Friday.
Last Friday, Harvester Christian Academy beat the Wildcats 40-32.
Harvester Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Kaitlyn Mercier, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Mercier has scored at least a third of Harvester Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Riley Robinson, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Heritage Preparatory's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in January after their fourth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Furtah Prep, falling 63-33.
Harvester Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Heritage Preparatory, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6.
Harvester Christian Academy came up short against the Rams in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 44-40. Can Harvester Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
