BASIS - Peoria lost against the El Dorado Wolverines back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. BASIS - Peoria took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of El Dorado. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points BASIS - Peoria has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead El Dorado to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Carbajal, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. Kamari Brown was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
This is the second loss in a row for BASIS - Peoria and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for El Dorado, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. BASIS - Peoria will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pan-American at 6:45 p.m. on January 9, 2024. El Dorado will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Canyon State Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
