If the MaxPreps national rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Wilder. They will challenge Notus on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Wilder don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Wilder put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They took the match and then some with a 84-6 victory over Rimrock. No one put up better numbers for Wilder than junior Pablo Martinez, who brought his A game into the match. He passed for 301 yards and 7 touchdowns. Martinez has now scored at least one touchdown in the past 4 games.
Meanwhile, Notus came into their this week averaging 43 points per game, but Notus fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They were given a punishing 6-50 defeat at the hands of Idaho City.
Everything went Wilder's way against Notus the last time the two teams met as they made off with a 43-16 win. Will Wilder repeat their success, or does Notus have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
