It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Laurel Christian can now relate to. They were dealt a 55-21 loss at the hands of the Saints on Saturday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Laurel Christian in their matchups with Sylva Bay Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, West Memphis Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in January after their fourth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 59-38 walloping at the hands of Memphis Home Education Association. While losing is never fun, West Memphis Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 161st in Arkansas, while Memphis Home Education Association is ranked 39th in Tennessee).
Laurel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for West Memphis Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
