Basketball Recap: Master's Hand Christian Takes a Loss

Master's Hand Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mt. Pleasant Christian Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-31 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Master's Hand Christian still got an impressive performance from Braedon Canuteson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards. Canuteson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Max Minor, who posted 12 points.

Mt. Pleasant Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Karson Battles out in front who went 6 of 14 on his way to 15 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Aidan Brown, who had 13 points.

Master's Hand Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Mt. Pleasant Christian, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Master's Hand Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-40 win against Valley Fellowship Christian Academy on the 13th. As for Mt. Pleasant Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-56 defeat against Evangel Christian on the 9th.
