In what's become a running theme this season, the Harlan Hawks gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Warren with a sharp 64-43 win. Given Harlan's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Warren is ranked 292nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harlan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Loghan Hamilton, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ruhama Salyers, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Harlan has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for Warren, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-14.
Harlan will be playing at home against Stevens at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Warren, they will head out on the road to challenge Taft at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Taft is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
