The Farrell Steelers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past Slippery Rock 49-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for Farrell, who have now won four games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Leading Farrell to victory were Kabron Smith and Juelz Johnson. Smith threw for 127 yards and two touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes, while Johnson rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Another big playmaker for Farrell was Danny Odem iii, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Farrell's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0. As for Slippery Rock, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Farrell will be playing at home against Cathedral Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Cathedral Prep is ranked 40th, while Farrell is ranked 50th). Slippery Rock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
