Wiregrass has gone 6-1 against Southern Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Kings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 12:30 p.m. Wiregrass is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Colt Crisler was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Wiregrass got a massive performance out of Johnathan Treadaway, who went 3-for-6 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Dylan Hobson was another key player, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Southern Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Heritage Christian on Thursday and fell 7-6. The Patriots have struggled against the Angels recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Jedd Scott was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Southern Christian: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 0-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brooks Pender, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Wiregrass' loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Southern Christian, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Wiregrass has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Southern Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Wiregrass was able to grind out a solid victory over Southern Christian in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 8-5. Do the Kings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
