Evergreen has gone 9-1 against Conifer recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Lobos at 4:00 p.m. Evergreen is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
On Tuesday, Evergreen made easy work of Green Mountain and carried off a 13-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Brody March was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Evergreen let Keller Fiore and Hudson Schraad run wild. Fiore went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Schraad went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those four RBI gave Fiore a new career-high. Colby Levesque was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Evergreen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
D'Evelyn hit Conifer with a six-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lobos came up short against the Jaguars, falling 13-3. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
Conifer saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mckade Tracy, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Evergreen's record is now 8-4. As for Conifer, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Evergreen hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Conifer struggles in that department as they've averaged .349. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Evergreen couldn't quite get it done against Conifer in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 4-0. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
