The Bishop Loughlin Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Sunday after their tenth straight defeat. They were the victim of a tough 87-61 loss at the hands of Archbishop Stepinac. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Sunday (60), Bishop Loughlin still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Boogie Fland, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Archbishop Stepinac. Fland hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasiah Jervis, who scored 12 points along with six assists.
Bishop Loughlin has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Archbishop Stepinac, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.
Bishop Loughlin will head out on the road to square off against the Stanners at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Archbishop Molloy is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Archbishop Stepinac, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monsignor Scanlan has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
