After flying high against the Chaminade Eagles last Monday, the St. Francis Golden Knights came back down to earth. St. Francis lost to the Celts on the road by a decisive 68-54 margin on Tuesday. If St. Francis was looking for revenge after losing 57-50 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Crespi's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Peyton White led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Joe Sterling was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
St. Francis' loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Crespi, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.
St. Francis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Crespi won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Trailblazers at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Sierra Canyon will be looking to keep their 12-game home win streak alive.
