Central Catholic is 9-1 against Manteca since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Buffaloes at 4:30 p.m. Central Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Central Catholic got the win against Patterson by a conclusive 13-1. The Raiders have beaten the Tigers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Sophia Santillan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ceriah Fitzhugh, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Samantha Nichols, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Central Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Patterson only posted a batting average of .062.
Meanwhile, Manteca hadn't done well against Oakdale recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Buffaloes walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Mustangs. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Like Central Catholic, Manteca also got a great game from a two-way player: Isabel Tonna. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Tonna was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Lauren Moncada was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Sienna Owen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Central Catholic's record is now 18-8. As for Manteca, their record now sits at 13-7.
Central Catholic got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against Manteca by a conclusive 7-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
