The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Eagles on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Haedan Morton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Front Range Christian let Jake Dreiling and Nate McInturff run wild. Dreiling went 2-for-3 with two runs, while McInturff went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Denver Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 33-1 to Flatirons Academy.
Denver Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brendan King, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.
Denver Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Front Range Christian, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-5.
Denver Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Front Range Christian has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Denver Academy, though, as they've been averaging 10.2 hits. Given Front Range Christian's sizable advantage in that area, the Mustangs will need to find a way to close that gap.
Front Range Christian took their win against Denver Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
