Each offseason, elite high school basketball rosters are rebuilt,
replenished or reconfigured through key transfers for the upcoming year. The 2021-22 transfer season has gotten off to a hot start with basketball powerhouses Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.), AZ Compass Prep (Chandler, Ariz.), Prolific Prep (Napa, Calif.) and Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, Kan.) making the biggest splashes thus far.
While more movement is a certainty, here is our initial look at the top impact transfers across high school basketball.

Dylan AndrewsFrom: Windward (Los Angeles)
247Sports ranking: No. 36, Class of 2022
Impact: UCLA pledge announced he'll join a loaded AZ Compass Prep roster for his senior season after missing much of his junior season with the Wildcats. The crafty guard earned MaxPreps Sophomore All-America honors in 2019-20.
From: Waukee (Iowa)
247Sports ranking: No. 6, Class of 2023
Impact: The 6-foot-8 forward was a MaxPreps Sophomore All-America honorable mention selection in 2020-21, averaging 10.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.1 blocks. The top 10 prospect will compete for minutes in a loaded frontcourt for the two-time defending MaxPreps National Champions next season.
Layden BlockerFrom: Little Rock Christian Academy (Little Rock, Ark.)
247Sports ranking: No. 57, Class of 2023
Impact: After averaging 20 points, five rebounds and three assists as a sophomore, the 6-2 guard joins a retooled Buffaloes roster that graduated five of the top six players.
To: Montverde Academy
From: Ensworth (Nashville, Tenn.)
247Sports ranking: No. 11, Class of 2022
Impact: Five-star guard averaged 26.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists through 11 games before opting out due to COVID-19 concerns. He's expected to make an immediate impact in the Eagles run for a third consecutive national crown.

From: Jefferson (Portland, Ore.)
247Sports ranking: No. 14, Class of 2023
Impact: The versatile 6-7 wing joins the budding national powerhouse with expectations sky-high. Cook looks to help the reloaded group make a run at their second consecutive GEICO Nationals berth after wrapping up his spring season in Oregon.

From: Poly (Baltimore)
247Sports ranking: No. 5, Class of 2023
Impact: Talented post presence joins a crowded frontcourt featuring top-ranked ranked prospect Jalen Duren and four-star forward Malik Reneau. Evans missed his sophomore season after Baltimore City public schools canceled the 2020-21 basketball season.
From: Covenant Day (Matthews, N.C.)

Impact: MaxPreps Sophomore All-America selection averaged 21.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists last season for the Lions. He joins guards Jeremy Fears and J.J. Starling to form a fierce backcourt trio for a La Lumiere program looking to return to the national rankings after a subpar 2020-21 campaign.

From: Ypsi Prep Academy (Ypsilanti, Mich.)
247Sports ranking: No. 43, Class of 2022
Impact: Spending last season at first-year program Ypsi Prep Academy, where he averaged 10 points, 4.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds. A program on the rise, the Buffaloes reached the GEICO Nationals title game for the first time in program history last season.
From: Wasatch Academy (Mt. Pleasant, Utah)

Impact: The 6-2 guard spent his previous two seasons as an impact player for prep power Wasatch Academy, earning MaxPreps Junior All-America honors last season averaging 14.1 points while shooting an efficient 44 percent from 3-point range. He looks to help the Crew to their third consecutive top 10 national finish.

Impact: Announced the move following a shortened 10-game spring season at Garfield. Despite losing six of their top seven scorers from last season, the Evergreen State's top-ranked player is the Eagles' lone major addition thus far.

From: Bishop Miege (Shawnee Mission, Kan.)
247Sports ranking: No. 10, Class of 2022
Impact: MaxPreps Junior All-America honorable mention selection averaged 18 points and 6.7 rebounds while leading Stags to state title in 2020-21. The 6-8 wing likely will be the Buffaloes go-to guy next season, giving him an opportunity to display his explosive offensive game around the basket on the national stage.

state title game. Morris joins top 10 senior prospect

From: Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.)
247Sports ranking: No. 18, Class of 2022
Impact: The five-star prospect will spend his senior season with the Crew after leading the Warriors in scoring last season. The North Carolina native averaged 19.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per outing earned third team MaxPreps Junior All-America honors.

From: Jefferson (Portland, Ore.)

Impact: After earning four-star status in the Class of 2022 in football, Washington has focused his attention on basketball after receiving over 20 college offers between the two sports. The under-the-radar basketball prospect averaged over 30 points, 10 rebounds and five assists during Jefferson's spring campaign.
