Franklin County is 0-10 against Wesson since April of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Bulldogs will square off against the Cobras at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Franklin County's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
Franklin County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Port Gibson a 23-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.
Joy Woodard was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Woodard was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Franklin County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Franklin County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .476. However, it's not like Wesson struggles in that department as they've averaged .451. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Franklin County suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Wesson in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
