The Colton-Pierrepont Colts's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 37-36 to Brushton-Moira. That's two games in a row now that Colton-Pierrepont has lost by exactly a single point.
When it comes to explaining why Colton-Pierrepont lost, one person who can't be blamed is Eric Friedel. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Friedel is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Trimm, who scored four points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Colton-Pierrepont has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Brushton-Moira, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colton-Pierrepont will square off against Lisbon Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brushton-Moira will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tupper Lake at 7:15 p.m. on January 25th.
