South San Antonio is 0-7 against Southwest since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The South San Antonio Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Southwest Dragons at 7:15 p.m. South San Antonio's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 13 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
South San Antonio fell victim to Winn's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 4-0 walloping at the hands of the Mavericks. South San Antonio has struggled against Winn recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Southwest stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Southside a 6-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for Southwest who now have five in a row.
Their offense was hitting Southside from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.
South San Antonio's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Southwest, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season.
South San Antonio suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Southwest in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can South San Antonio avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
