Columbia City has gone 7-2 against East Noble recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Knights at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
East Noble will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Columbia City extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday. Everything went the Eagles' way against New Haven as they made off with a 13-2 win.
Emma Hiss made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted over her last 12 contests.

In other batting news, Madelyn Brady was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kendyl Sattison, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Columbia City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive games.
East Noble came out on top against Angola on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Knights put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 11-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Knights have posted against the Hornets since May 8, 2021.
The team relied heavily on Shaye Ritchie, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Bri Bortner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Columbia City pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for East Noble, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Columbia City hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like East Noble struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Columbia City was able to grind out a solid win over East Noble in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 5-0. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
