Boston Latin Academy added to the longest winning streak in Boston - South this week by beating Boston English, 36-16. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Dragons.
Dorchester made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,524 from 11,369. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 42-0 victory over New Mission/Boston Community Leadership Academy last week.
O'Bryant's Ajani Alfred-McFall and Joseph Farrell led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Alfred-McFall has thrown for 220 yards this season, while Farrell, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 3 catches for 105 yards. The Bulldogs' Emmanuel Almonte leads the league in rushing yards with 358.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when the Tigers and Boston English face off next week.
An important game coming up in Boston - South this week will be when O'Bryant takes on Brian Vaughan's team. At the moment, Kevin Gadson's team is in first, while the Bulldogs are in fifth.
There should be lots of points scored when the Tigers and Boston English face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, O'Bryant comes in having scored 73 this season, while the Bulldogs have scored 46. The Tigers scored 32 points last week as they bested Burke/Community Academy of Science & Health.
The Bears led the league in scoring this week by notching 42 points on New Mission/Boston Community Leadership Academy.
