West Davidson entered their  matchup against Providence Grove  on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything.  Providence Grove had a senior duo take command as  Jackson Lawver threw for 186 yards and a pair of  TDs and  Andrew Thomas gained 89 total yards and two touchdowns. Thomas didn't just play on offense: he also made two total tackles and defended two passes. Providence Grove also got a significant boost from  Nick Straughn, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.
West Davidson suffered their first home  defeat, dropping their record down to 3-3. As for Providence Grove, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road.
