The Wall Eagles will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Lyman Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Wall has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 334 points over their last five matchups.
Wall pushed their score all the way to 61 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Hill City by a score of 63-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Wall has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Wall got a solid performance out of Paige Kjerstad, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nora Dinger, who scored 14 points along with five assists and three steals.
Wall struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Lyman put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Burke 55-27 at home. Lyman has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.
Wall's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3. As for Lyman, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0.
Wall strolled past Lyman in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 67-48. Does Wall have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lyman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
