The Spruce Timberwolves were the 51-48 winner over the Seagoville Dragons when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Spruce took a 43-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seagoville on Friday. Spruce has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Spruce still got an impressive performance from Mesoulay Williams, who scored 14 points. Williams scored a full 42.4% of Spruce's points, the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tionnie Williams, who scored eight points.
Spruce has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Seagoville, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9.
Spruce will take on Samuell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Samuell comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Seagoville, they will be playing at home against Poteet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
