Kempsville took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 57-19 victory over the Lions. Given Kempsville's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Lions are ranked 378th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Landstown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Kempsville, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
