Lampeter-Strasburg posted their biggest victory yet this season on Saturday. Everything went their way against Chambersburg as Lampeter-Strasburg made off with a 62-38 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given Lampeter-Strasburg's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Chambersburg is ranked 37th).
Lampeter-Strasburg's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Smucker, who scored 19 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Dean Herr was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Cocalico's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Cocalico came up short against Lampeter-Strasburg in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 51-40. Can Cocalico avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
