After having lost a blowout in their previous game against University Prep, West Valley was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Anderson Cubs as they made off with a 34-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Cadynce Gippner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off six runs, three triples, and three RBI while going 5-for-5. Those six runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Addy Taylor was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maddy Pemberton, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
West Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .855. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
