Archbishop Mitty has gone  a perfect 10-0 against Valley Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The Monarchs will be playing at home against the Warriors  at 4:00  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Valley Christian will be up against a hot Archbishop Mitty  squad: the  team just extended their winning streak to four. The Monarchs blew past Presentation 25-1 on Thursday. The Monarchs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.

 Georgia Sperling made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. What's more,  she posted four  strikeouts, the most she's  had since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with five  RBI and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Brianna Gomez, who  went 3-for-5 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Olivia Anderson was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Archbishop Mitty  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .600. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Valley Christian's hitters rose to the challenge against a Wildcats pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.77  runs allowed on Thursday. The Warriors were the clear victors by  a  12-2 margin over Woodside. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Warriors.
Like Archbishop Mitty, Valley Christian also got a great game from a two-way player:  Hannah Paquiz. On the mound, she  pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits. Paquiz was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-5.
 In other batting news,  Sia Marsh was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 4-for-5. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Charlotte Coney, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Archbishop Mitty's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Valley Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
Friday's   contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Archbishop Mitty has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .472. However, it's not like Valley Christian struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .467. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Everything went Archbishop Mitty's way against Valley Christian in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024, as Archbishop Mitty made off with  an  11-1 win. Will the Monarchs repeat their success,  or do  the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
