The Sudan Hornets won the last time they faced the Crosbyton Chiefs, and things went their way on Friday too. Sudan took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 53-12 win over Crosbyton.
Trent Wilson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 163 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 248 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Wilson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 64 yards. Jaibryn Ornleas also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Sudan's win was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 5-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.4 points per game. As for Crosbyton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sudan will challenge Bovina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Crosbyton, they will head out on the road to face off against Ralls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
