The Severance Silver Knights's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They managed a 52-47 victory over Thompson Valley. The win was just what Severance needed coming off of a 71-39 defeat in their prior contest.
Leading Severance to victory were Molly Sporleder and Reece Yahn. Sporleder scored six points along with seven steals and three blocks, while Yahn scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Sporleder is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Erin Crownhart, who scored six points.
Severance's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Thompson Valley, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Severance and Mountain View will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mountain View is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Thompson Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Northridge at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Sophia Carbajal and Paige Wagner.
