Pasco extended the longest winning streak in 5A District 6 this week by beating Zephyrhills, 56-17. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Pirates.
Fivay's dynamic duo of Tyler Degen and Andrew Meyer proved tough for Ridgewood to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Degen threw for 319 yards and five touchdowns and Meyer had 156 yards receiving. Willis Reeves helped Fivay's passing attack out by catching four balls for 114 yards.
Willie Barrett was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 254 yards on 19 carries as Anclote defeated the Rams. Keshaun Dampier also contributed to the rushing game with 18 yards on the ground.
Fivay's Degen and Meyer have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Degen has thrown for 1755 yards this season, while Meyer, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 38 catches for 939 yards. The Sharks' Barrett leads the league in rushing yards with 1265.
Chris Taylor's team's Meyer is only 61 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Citrus.
Pasco's David Emmanuel is a mere 94 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 76 carries Emmanuel has accumulated 906 yard this year.
Tom Mchugh's team led 5A District 6 in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on the Bulldogs. Benjamin Chandler in the win.
