After losing to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish the last time they met, the Alexander Trojans decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Alexander came out on top against Notre Dame by a score of 61-49 on Friday.
Notre Dame lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jay Antinore, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and six steals. Antinore hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Ryan Fitzpatrick was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Alexander now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Notre Dame, their loss dropped their record down to 6-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alexander will take on School of the Arts at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Notre Dame will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Holley at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th.
