West Orange (Winter Garden, Fla.) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat
Freedom (Orlando, Fla.), 40-12, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Hayden Griffitts touchdown pass to
Garrett Johnson in the first quarter, the Warriors were up 20-0 at the half.
West Orange grew its lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. WO scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by Griffitts to Johnson.
The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which the Patriots took, 35-7.
In a non-conference game next week Freedom (0-2) takes on Olympia, and West Orange (2-0) will go up against Oak Ridge also in a non-conference game.
