The Ludlowe Falcons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Bridgeport Central at home to the tune of 66-39. That looming 66-39 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Ludlowe yet this season.
Bridgeport Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kai Clarke, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The matchup was Clarke's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Kendrick, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
The victory was the third in a row for Ludlowe, bringing their record for this year to 4-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Bridgeport Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Ludlowe will face off against Greenwich at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenwich is on a three-game streak of home wins, Ludlowe a 12-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Bridgeport Central will take on Ridgefield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgefield is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
