Scott is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Pioneers a 14-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Scott Skyhawks will take on the Wayne Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Scott pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-56 to Logan.
The losing side was boosted by Owen Adkins, who scored 22 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Brown, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-45, which was the final score in Wayne's tilt against the Wildcats on Saturday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wayne in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.
Scott has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
Scott barely slipped by the Pioneers in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 66-65. Will Scott repeat their success, or do the Pioneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
