The Washington Hatchets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Boonville 72-41 on the road. Washington might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.
Washington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aubrey Frank, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Frank hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Olivia Gilley was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Washington's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. As for Boonville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington will finish 2023 at home by hosting Heritage Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Hills will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Boonville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gibson Southern at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
