Meanwhile, Madison lost to the Rattlers at home by a decisive 61-43 margin on Wednesday.
The losing side was boosted by Evan Moreno, who scored 18 points. Elijah Pierre was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Marshall dropped their record down to 6-21 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Madison, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-12.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Marshall have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Madison struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
