In what's become a running theme this season, the South Gray Rebels gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Southwestern Heights 62-42. Given South Gray's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Southwestern Heights is ranked 151st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Layla Pearl kisner, who scored 23 points along with three steals. Pearl kisner hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Adeline Woods was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
The win (which was South Gray's fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-1. As for Southwestern Heights, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
South Gray will be playing at home against South Central on Tuesday.
