Bridgeport Central is on an eight-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Norwalk a nine-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers will take on the Norwalk Bears at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bridgeport Central comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Saturday, Bridgeport Central was beaten by Stamford 58-6. While losing is never fun, Bridgeport Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Stamford is ranked 45th).
Meanwhile, Norwalk came up short against Danbury on Friday and fell 24-17.
The losing side was boosted by Ethan Hudson, who rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Hudson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards.
The losses dropped Bridgeport Central to 0-5 and Norwalk to 1-4.
Bridgeport Central might still be hurting after the 37-14 defeat they got from Norwalk when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Bridgeport Central have more luck at home instead of on the road?
