Lakeside is 10-0 against Arkansas since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Lakeside Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Arkansas Razorbacks at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lakeside has four straight victories, Arkansas has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Lakeside was able to grind out a solid victory over Arkadelphia, taking the game 57-47.
Lakeside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Molly Reeves led the charge by scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenzie Williams, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, Arkansas was beaten by Benton 57-22 on Friday. Arkansas has struggled against Benton recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Lakeside's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Arkansas, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Lakeside took their win against Arkansas in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 56-31. Will Lakeside repeat their success, or does Arkansas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
