The Ocoee Knights will face off against the Edgewater Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Ocoee had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Windermere Prep on Tuesday. The Knights put the hurt on the Lakers with a sharp 12-1 win. That 11-run margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

At the plate, Ocoee got a massive performance out of Bobby Judd, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave Judd a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Serico Allen, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Ocoee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .583. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Edgewater came out on top against Lake Highland Prep last Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run sixth inning. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Highlanders.
Edgewater let Sean Baker and Coron Victor run wild. Baker got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Victor got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Edgewater is 4-1-1 when Baker posts two or more runs, but 3-7 otherwise. Victory Morgan was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.
Edgewater has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ocoee, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
Ocoee suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Edgewater in their previous matchup back in February. Will the Knights have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
